The recycling of tires for the manufacture of rubber mud flaps follows a series of steps that contribute to a better use of resources. After collecting the disused tires from various workshops and clients, these are exhaustively classified to determine their processability and the industry where they are destined (manufacture of tars, thermal power plants, metallurgy, molded rubber, etc.).

In the case of mud flaps manufacturing, the first step is to separate the vulcanized rubber from the rest of the tire components (steel and fiber reinforcement). This is done by pulling. The rubber is then conveyed to a crusher and transformed into a powder with a suitable thickness for the remanufacture.

There are two rubber recycling processes: the one that uses modified oil and the one ith water-oil. In both cases, the oil and a recovery agent are added to the regenerated rubber powder. It is subjected for a long time to high temperatures and pressure by special machinery

before undergoing further mechanical processing.

The regenerated rubber can therefore be revulcanized and recover all the

structural, thermal and mechanical properties that make truck mud flaps acquire a

superior quality.
